The prayer wheel also called Mani wheel ( Tibetan: mani chos-'khor ) are circled clockwise, like the earth is going around the sun. People of the Bön ( Bon ) tradition turn the prayer wheel counter clockwise. Every turn recitates the prayer of the Mantra Om mani padme hum, its written many times inside the cylinder on a roll of paper.
