Bhaisajya Thathagata - Medicine Bhuddha is said to dispense spiritual medicine when properly worshipped. He wears monastric robes and sits on a lion throne. He holds a bowl in his left hand having medicinal plant called arura or amla (phyllanthus emblia) and he holds a stem of arura in his right hand in Varada-Mudra (gesture of giving). His assistents are the two Bhodisattvas called Suryapralha und Candraprabha.

Before he got enlightment he did 12 vows to keep away all diseases from all human beings and to make them happy on their way to the enlightment and to free them from all troubles.
